Introduction
Ichigo is just like any other 15 year old adolescent, with one exception. He can see ghosts. So therefore, a part of his everyday life is helping these ghosts “pass on”. One day when he is walking around in town he is being attacked by an enormous beast, which appears to be a Hollow.
A girl in a black cape suddenly appears and slays the hideous monster. Later at night, the same girl enters his room through the wall, completely ignores Ichigo who is shouting at her. Ichigo becomes annoyed and kicks the poor girl down. The girl gets shocked and says that he shouldn’t be able to see her, let alone touch her.
The girl explains that she is Kuchiki Rukia, and that she is a Shinigami. A Death God.
Their conversation is interrupted by the apperance of another Hollow, an evil
spirit, which the Death Gods are supposed to slay. During the battle with the Hollow,
Rukia is severely wounded while protecting Ichigo, and therefore decides to transfer half her
Death God powers to Ichigo, so he could fight the Hollow in her place. Unintentionally Ichigo
absorbs all of Rakia’s powers, allowing him to defeat the Hollows easily. The next day Rukia
appears as Ichigo´s new classmate, since without her Death God powers, she is stranded in the real world. While Rukia is recovering her powers while also inhabiting Ichigo’s
closet, Ichigo will have to become a substitute Death God!
