Aburame Shino

He is one of Naruto’s friends, his ninja group consists of Hyuuga Hinata and Inuzuka Kiba. Their sensei is Yuuhi Kurenai. The Aburame family have a unique bloodline, they can control and command bugs. These bugs live inside their bodies, and lives as parasites on the users chakra supply in exchange for fighting for the user. Shino is a quite shy and intelligent person. He dresses in a gray jacket and black pants, and hides his face as often as possible in his clothes.

Akamaru

Akamaru is Kiba’s loyal dog. Most of the time he sits on the top of Kiba’s head. He and Kiba form a close team when they battle against enemies. With Akamaru, Kiba can use many combo techniques. Kiba and Akamaru are very close, they are never seen apart from each other, if Akamaru were to die, Kiba would probably go berserk.

Akimichi Chouji

The Akimichi clan are specialized in a technique that makes you bigger. Chouji itself is a ninja who is fat and likes to eat much. He is very strong when it comes to power battles. His best friend is Shikamaru. He is in the team of Nara Shikamaru, Yamanako Ino and their sensei Asuma. Chouji has many attacks which use his weight and body size as an advantage, some which include making his fists bigger and clobbering the enemy and enlarging his body to form a human rolling boulder.

Baki

Baki is the sensei or teacher of Gaara, Temari and Kakuro. He is a very strong Jounin from the Hidden Village of Sand.

Deidara

Deidara is a member of the group called Akatsuki. He is a very powerfull ninja who uses clay to make bombs. With this clay he molds various of animals, such as a big bird to fly.
His first appearance is in the Shipuuden series where he his first fight is with Gaara.

Dosu Kinata

He’s the strongest of the three man group, which consists of Zaku and the female ninja Kin.
Dosu is from the sound village and his master is Orichimaru.
His first appearance is in the Chuunin exams where he fights with sound which comes out of his arms.

Ebisu

He is a Jounin from the Hidden Village of Konoha who trains Konohamaru. Ebisu also fought Naruto, but lost after Naruto applied his Harem no Jutsu.
He is the bearer of the nickname “The Closet Pervert”.

Enma Enkouou

Also known as the “Monkey King”. He is summoned by Sarutobi to help him in the fight with Orochimaru.

Gaara

Gaara was born to be the Sand Village’s ultimate weapon. Gaara also has a demon within him called Shukaku. Gaara never experienced love in his early years. His father Kazakage tried many assassinations upon Gaara, but they all failed. Because of this Gaara was even more hateful. This all changed when he fought Naruto and found out they were alike. Since then they became good friends.
Gaara is also often refered to the nickname “Gaara of the Desert”.
His sensei is the Jounin Baki and his brother and sister are Kankouro and Temari who make up a team also.

Gamabunta

Gamabunta is a giant frog summoned by Jiraiya. He is the father of Gamakichi and Gamatatsu. His name litteraly means “Toad King” and he is the boss of the toads.
Besides Jiraiya, Naruto can also summon him, which he learned from Jiraiya himself during the anime. The Fourth Hokage Yondaime also summoned him.
Gamabunta has a insensible character towards the most people besides the people he has respect for. On his back he carries a giant sword known as Yakuza.
He is first seen in the invasion of Konoha where he fights alongside Naruto against Shukaku.

Gamakichi

Gamakichi is the younger son of Gamabunta. His name means “Propitious Toad”. He is smarter than his younger brother Gamatatsu.

Gamatatsu

Gamatatsu is the youngest son of Gamabunta. The first impression you get from him is a small, inexperienced and funny frog. Mostly he doesn’t know in what kind of situation he is.

Hagane Kotetsu

Kotetsu is mostly seen with his friend Izumo. His first appearance is during the first stage of the Chuunin Exams. There he and his friend Izumo switched the room numbers with a genjutsu to trick the exam candites. Later in the anime Kotetsu and Izumo act as the personal assistent of the Fifth Hokage Tsunade. They also become the patrolmen of the gate of Konoha.

Haku

Haku is firstly seen with Zabuza. He’s the young guardian of Zabuza and holder of a rare bloodline that allows one to perform many techniques. The story tells that Zabuza found him alone on a bridge. Zabuza trained Haku then.

Haruno Sakura

Sakura is one of the main characters in the anime. She’s very good friends with Naruto and Sasuke. These are in team 7, which is the team of Kakashi, their sensei.
She always wants attention of Sasuke, and always tries her very best for him. Her rival is Ino.
She is good in Genjutsu and chakra control, but her weak point is ninjutsu.
Later in the series she gets taught by the Fifth Hokage Tsunade where she learns techninques for beung a medical ninja.

Hatake Kakashi

Kakashi is one of the main characters. He is a Jounin and a teacher of Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura. He is the bearer of the nickname the “Copy Ninja”, because one of his eyes has the Sharingan so he copied numberous of jutsus from other ninjas.

Hoshigake Kisame

Kisame is a powerfull ninja from the Hidden Village of Mist. He is a wanted ninka because the comited various of crimes. He is one of Seven Shinobi-gatana of the Mist and is a S-Ranked Ninja. He always carries big sword Samehada with him.
This is not a normal sword because it shaves instead of cutting and the sword itself has the ability of sucking the enemy’s chakra.
Kisame is also known for his massive amount of chakra.

Hyuuga Hinata

Hinata is a female ninja who is a member of the head family branch called the Hyuuga Clan.
This clan holds a very unique technique called the Byakugan which enables one to see far more and further than the normal eye.
Hyuuga Hinata is a very shy person. She has a big crush on Naruto, but she never dares to express her feelings for him. One of her characterization is that she tries her very best to change herself.
Her sensei is Asuma, and her team mates are Kiba and Shino.

Hyuuga Neji

He is the succesor of the Hyuuga Clan. Neji has the most talent of the whole Hyuuga clan.
With his Byakugan he uses many techniques to attack the enemy. The Byakugan gives him a unique 360 degrees view of the battlefield, giving him the ability to detect the enemy before the normal eye can see.
His cousin is Hinata, who almost got killed by him duuring the Chuunin Exam.
His team conists of Rock Lee and Ten-Ten under the command of their sensei Maito Gai.

Inuzuka Kiba

Inuzuka Kiba is a member of the Inuzuka Clan, who specialize in beast control. Kiba forums along with his loyal dog Akamaru a tight team. He has a good nose to smell enemies, but can also be tricked by its nose.
Kiba is in the team of Asuma, with his friends Shino and Hinata.

Jiraiya

Jiraiya is one of the most powerful ninjas. He’s one of the three legendary Sennis and was taught by Sandaime the Third Hokage. He is spezialized in summoning frogs like the frog boss Gamabunta. He trains Naruto also, one of the techniques he learned Naruto is the Rasengan.

Jirobo

He is one of the Sound Four members, the elite guardians of their master Orochimaru. He is the weakest of the group, but the strongest when it comes to physical strength.
He has (like any other Sound member) the Cursed Seal of Heaven. Releasing this seal, transforms them, giving them extreme speed and strength.
During the “Sasuke Retrieval arc” he fought against Chouji.
His team mates are Kidomaru, Tayuya, Ukon & Sakon.

Kamizuki Izumo

Izumo is a Jounin ninja in Konoha who is mostly together with his good friend Kotetsu.
Later in the anime Kotetsu and Izumo act as the personal assistent of the Fifth Hokage Tsunade. They also become the patrolmen of the gate of Konoha.

Kankurou

Kankurou is a ninja from the Hidden Village of Sand. His brother and sister are Gaara and Temari. His appearance is extra ordinarity because directly you see his purple stripes on his face. He also mostly wears his cape, which doesn’t allow you to see his brown hair.
Kankurou uses a very effective technique, a puppet technique which enables him to control spezial puppets using wires of chakra. His sensei is Baki.

Kazekage

The Kazekage is the head of the Hidden Village of Sand. In the anime the first Kazekage makes Gaara the ultimate weapon of the Sand village. Later in the anime Gaara becomes the Kazekage. At the time Naruto hears that he struggles even more to become Hokage, but at the same time he is happy for Gaara.

Kidoumaru

Kidoumaru is one of the Sound Four members, the elite guardians of their master Orochimaru. He is the second member of the group.
Kidoumaru is a spider-like ninja, he has four extra arms giving him the ability to make webs like a real spider. These webs are made of a special kind of liquid infused with chakra.
He has (like any other Sound member) the Cursed Seal of Heaven. Releasing this seal, transforms them, giving them extreme speed and strength.
During the “Sasuke Retrieval arc” he fought against Neji. This was a good choice because Neji is like Kidoumaru a tactial anylist.
His team mates are Jirobo, Tayuya, Ukon & Sakon.

Kimimaro

Kimimaro is the only survivor of the Kaguya clan. Kaguya clan members can manipulate their bones. Kimimaro was found by Orochimaru and was a student of his.
Kimimaro’s only desire is to serve Orochimaru. Orochimaru wanted to use his body, but couldn’t anymore when Kimimaro got severely sick.
During the “Sasuke Retrieval arc” he fought against Rock Lee and Gaara, but died as a result of his illness.

Konohamaru

Konohamaru is the grandson of the Third Hokage Sarutobi. He was named after the village Konoha, the place were he lives. Konoha is a friend of Naruto’s and like Naruto, his dream is to become Hokage too.
Naruto is for him an example, he dresses and acts just like Naruto. His characterization could be described as stubborn.

Kyuubi

The Kyuubi is a demon fox with nine tails who attacked the Hidden Village of Konoha 12 years ago. The Kyuubi is the most powerful of all Jinchuuruki, they have up to 9 tails, while Gaara’s demon Sshukaku, has only two. It is a feared and very powerful creature. In the attack many inhabitants died. The Fourth Hokage was the one who defeated the Kyuubi by sealing it in a newlyborn baby called Naruto. The Kyuubi is now sealed within Naruto giving him enormous strength.
Naruto didn’t know at first that a demon was sealed within him, but after the intro in the anime he learns about it and learns to control it.

Maito Gai

Also called by himself, Konoha’s Green beast.
He’s a very happy person, who is up for a challenge
any time. He attempts to inspire his students to
grasp their youth as he does. One student he has
truly inspired is Rock Lee.
Gai is a Jounin level ninja, and his main fighting
style is Taijutsu. He also (along with Rock Lee)
has the ability to open a few of the Eight Life Gates,
granting him ridiculous strength for a while, at the
cost of tearing his muscles apart over time.

Mitarashi Anko

She is the examiner for the second phase of the
Chuunin Exam. She wears a bodysuit made of metal
mesh. She is a very intimidating person, especially
towards naruto.
She is a former student of Orochimaru, and is the
first person to survive the Cursed Seal.
Because of her, the survival percentage of the seal
is supposedly 10%. However, because of her lack
of power-greed and evil, Orochimaru wiped out her
mind and left her in the Land of the Sea for dead.
She was then taken into the hidden village of Konoha
as a ninja. She has techniques allowing her to summon
and control snakes, which she has learned from Orochimaru.

Momochi Zabuza

From a young age, Mochomi Zabuza has been a cold-blooded killer.
Upon graduating as a ninja, he had to be the last
person standing out hundreds.
He struggled to become one of the Seven Shinobi
Swordsmen of the Mist, which he also did.
He uses a very long blade, and uses Water jutsu (Suiton).
He was born in Kirigakure, located in the Hidden Village of Mist.
He also is the bearer of the nickname: “Demon of the Mist”.

Nara Shikamaru

He is an abnormally intelligent person,
with an IQ above 200. During the first
Chuunin Exam seen in the anime, he was the
only person to actually be promoted into Chuunin.
His bloodline limit allows him to control his own
shadows. When his shadow touches his opponent, the
opponent’s bodies reacts to whatever Shikamaru
does, and does the same for that person. He also
has a special technique which makes his own shadow
choke his opponent. His best friend is Chouji and he’s in the team of Ino and Chouji.

Orochimaru

He is a S-ranked criminal, guilty to many crimes
such as kidnapping, killing, and worst of all,
murdering the Sand Village’s Kazekage to perform
an assault on the Hidden Village of Konoha, leading
to the death of the 3rd Hokage, Sarutobi.
The Sand ninja foolishly followed their Kazekage’s order,
although it was actually Orochimaru telling them
what to do.
He also tries to lure people to join his cause,
with promises of power. Those that join him are
usually “bitten” by him, giving them the Cursed
Seal of Heaven. There’s merely a 10% chance of
survival once you have become infected with the Seal.
Orochimaru also parasites on people’s bodies, in order
to survive himself. The victim’s bodies are sealed in
a device that transfers the persons life-power directly
to Orochimaru for the rest of their lives. Only Orochimaru’s
death or his own order can release the victim from his/hers prison.
One of hist most famous victim is Naruto’s best friend Sasuke.

Pakkun

He is one of Hatake Kakashi’s eight Ninken. These
are creatures that Kakashi can use a Jutsu to summon
forth. Pakkun is the most intelligent one, and
is often summoned by Kakashi to track different
scents. He also has the ability to speak, and
along with all Ninken. He was raised from young
age by Kakashi himself.

Rock Lee

Lee is one of Naruto’s friends. He wears
a green tight outfit, looking just the same
as his sensei Maito Gai. Unfortunately,
he cannot use any ninjutsu. So he specializes
in taijutsu and follows his sensei in every step.
He is a very hard working person, that will
struggle more than anyone to achieve what
he wants. His main technique is “Konoha Senpuu”,
which is a sort of a Whirlwind kick that he
performs with great speed and power. He also
has a very unique ability that he shares with
Maito Gai. The power to open a few of the
Eight Gates of Life. In the anime, he has at most
opened five gates. By this, he gets seriously injured,
yet he is several hundred times stronger and faster
than he normally would be.

Sarutobi, the 3rd

He’s the village of Konoha’s 3rd Hokage.
Hokage means “Fire Shadow”, yet in combat,
Sarutobi uses both Fire and Earth techniques.
He’s also called “the Professor” because
of his vast knowledge of Ninjutsu.
His 3 students has grown to be the three
legendary Sannin, Jiraiya, Tsunade and the
S-rank criminal Orochimaru. Before his death,
at the battle of Konoha when Sand was unknowingly
led by Orochimaru, he wounded Orochimaru’s arms,
so that he could never use Ninjutsu again.
Sarutobi’s grandson is the young boy Konohamaru,
who hopes to be the 7th Hokage, after Naruto
becoming the 6th. Sarutobi is also a very wise
person, and serves as a source of wisdom for the
ninja in the village, during his time as Hokage.

Shizune

She is Tsunade’s assistant.
Tsunade and her, left Konoha to train when
one of Shizune’s family members died.
Since then she has been trained by Tsunade
personally, and has grown to be a very
powerful Medical ninja. Now they are back
in Konoha, with Tsunade as the hokage.
Shizune looks after Tsunade’s pig Ton-Ton
while Tsunade works. And is very different from
the 5th Hokage, in a way that she is
rational, and mostly normal, which the 5th
is most certainly not. She also has something
in common with the 5th though, that being
a very short temper.

Tayuya

Being the only female ninja of the Sound Four members, the elite guardians of their master Orochimaru. She is the the second strongest person of the group. Spezializing in sound, she controls a flute with which she can summon three creatures to help her fight. She always tries to avoid combat, even if she has a big mouth towards anyone.
She has (like any other Sound member) the Cursed Seal of Heaven. Releasing this seal, transforms them, giving them extreme speed and strength.
During the “Sasuke Retrieval arc” she fought against Shikamaru.
Her team mates are Kidomaru, Tayuya, Ukon & Sakon.

Tazuna

In Team Seven’s (Sakura, Sasuke, Naruto and Kakashi)
first C-rank mission, they are to escort a bridge
builder called Tazuna. During the way to the wave
country (where he builds his bridge), they are attacked
by 2 Journeyman level ninjas, called the Demon brothers.
And later on also attacked by Momochi Zabuza, however
Kakashi fights him off. Tazuna later tells them that he
know that he was going to be attacked, but he couldn’t
afford the protection by a group of Jounin. Even so,
Team Seven agrees to help him get back. In the end of this
saga, Tazuna names his bridge “Great Naruto Bridge” after
it’s completion.

Temari

She is the sister of the sand Jounin Kankuro,
and Kazekage Gaara of the Desert. She fights with
a large fan, that she inserts his chakra into to
create deadly winds. She’s a jounin level ninja,
and first came into the animé during the Chuunin
Exams, where everyone (including her and Kankuro)
had a fear for the renowned Gaara of the Desert.
She and her two siblings was tasked with acquiring
information about Konoha, to report back to their
Kazekage (it was actually Orochimaru) so that he
could assault Konoha village.

Ten-Ten

She is a student in Konoha village, and usually
hangs around Hyuuga Neji. They are good friends,
and they are also in the same team, along with
Rock Lee. (Team Gai).
Her fighting style is very weapon oriented, she
uses alot of Jutsu and scrolls to summon different
weapons. She is truly a weapon expert. In the anime
her current rank is Chuunin.

Ton-Ton

It is Shizune’s pet pig.
It’s a very small pig, and it can pronounce
it’s own name, ton-ton. Usually wears clothes,
that Shizune picks out for it.. And can also
sense whenever something bad is about to happen.

Tsunade

She is the Konoha village’s 5th Hokage.
She has a gambling problem, and owes
alot of people alot of money. She is a
medical ninja, with alot of skill.
She’s even called the best medical ninja
in the world. On top of that, she also has
abnormal strength, and can break buildings
with a single punch. She is around 50 years old,
yet she looks as she is 20, because of her
technique that makes her look younger.
Her apprentice is Haruno Sakura.

Uchiha, Itachi

He is an S-ranked criminal, guilty of the act
of wiping out his entire ninja clan except for
one person, his little brother Sasuke.
He has acquired the secret Uchicha technique,
that turns his already powerful Sharingan eyes
into something way more powerful, the Mangekyo
Sharingan. They allow him to trap his opponents in
sick, twisted Genjutsus (Illusion Jutsu).
In his most powerful genjutsu, (which he used against
Hatake Kakashi in a visit to Konoha with his
companion Kisame) he traps the victim in a genjutsu
with his eyes, and takes the victim to a dream-like
world, where Itachi can torture the victim for days.
For each 24 hours of torture that passes in this
world, only a single second passes in real life.
Therefor, he can defeat his opponents extremely quick.
However this technique drains his chakra extremely,
making him tired, and unable to fight for a while.

Uchiha, Sasuke

As his elder brother Itachi, he is wearer
of the Sharingan eyes. And has also learned
the secret Uchiha technique of transforming
them into the Mangekyo Sharingan, however
his eyes are not as powerful as Itachi’s, yet.
In the early anime episodes he was with Naruto
and Sakura in Kakashi’s Team Seven. However,
becoming jealous of Naruto’s growth in power,
he gave in to Orochimaru’s promises of power.
Now he is associated with Orochimaru, and the
thing Naruto and Sakura wants most, is to find
Sasuke and bring him back to Konoha.

Ukon & Sakon

They are one of the Sound Four members, the elite guardians of
their master Orochimaru. Their bodies are somehow blended together as one,
and they are the strongest being in the group.
Their one being also (like any other Sound member) has the
Cursed Seal of Heaven. Releasing this seal, transforms them,
giving them extreme speed and strength.
During the “Sasuke Retrieval arc” he fought against Kiba and Akamaru,
ironically enough, two versus two. Kiba and Akamaru won this fight.
Their team mates are Kidomaru, Tayuya and Jirobo.

Uzumaki, Naruto

This is the main character.
From young age, people have disrespected him,
because of the fact that the Kyuubi is sealed
within his body through a seal that the 4th
Hokage put on him. Naruto has trained, and
struggled alot for people to acknowledge him.
He has been very alike Gaara for example,
except that Gaara never really got acknowledged,
until he became the Kazekage.
When Naruto came back from his 2 year training with
one of the legendary Sannin, Jiraiya, he heard
that Gaara was the Kazekage, and got annoyed, and
began to struggle even more.
Naruto’s main technique, is the same as the 4th Hokage,
the Rasengan. He also uses Kage Bunshin no Jutsu,
in english, Shadow Clone, alot. It’s a forbidden
technique that he learned when stealing a forbidden
book for Mizuki in the first episode. Currently,
he’s a member of team Seven, along with Haruno
Sakura, and Hatake Kakashi.

Yakushi, Kabuto

He is Orochimaru’s assistant. His first
appearance in the anime is in the Chuunin
Exam, where he acts as he’s just a normal
student. Kabuto is a medical ninja, very
skilled one too. He was once a student
in Konoha, but like many, he was lured
into Orochimaru’s promises of power.

Yamanaka Ino

Ino is a childhood friend of Haruno Sakura,
and was the one who helped her get over her having
a big forehead. Ino later discovered that Sakura had
a crush on Uchiha Sasuke, whom she also had a crush on,
making them ending their friendship so they
could become rivals, fighting for Sasuke´s love.

Ino is a part of Konohas “Team 10″ led by Sarutobi Asuma,
and included herself, Nara Shikamaru and Akamichi Chouji.
By using her main tecnique : the “Mind body switch tecnique”,
Ino can gain control over her opponents body, using it as her
own for a short period of time. Besides from being a ninja,
Ino works part-time in a flower shop owned by the Yamanaka clan,
in which she is a member. Recently, Ino has become an apprentice
of Tsunade, learning medical jutsu, hoping to be more useful to
her friends.

Yondaime

Yondaime also called “The Leaf’s Yellow Flash” is said to be the most powerful ninja Konoha ever seen.
Yondaime was respected and loved.
He was a student under Jiraya, and he was feared in battle. In war, ninjas was scared to turn around if they ever saw “The Yellow Flash of Konoha”.
We dont know much about Yondaimes fighting style, but we know that he often relied on his speed.

Yuuhi Kurenai

Kurenai is a female Jounin and the leader of Team 8 which consists of Kiba, Shino and Hinata. She is spezialized in Genjutsu. Kurenai is a very good and gentle teacher towards her students. She also had a good relation with the Third Hokage Sarutobi.

Zaku Abumi

He’s a member of the three man group, which consists of Zaku and the female ninja Kin.
Dosu is from the sound village and his master is Orichimaru.
His first appearance is in the Chuunin exams. Abumi is a Genin who is spezialised in wind. He has numberous of hollow tubes which extend through his arms and opens through his palms. With his chakra he then can create air attacks.

Zetsu

There is not much known about Zetsu apart from that he’s a member of the criminal group called the Akatsuki. His head looks like a giant flytrap and face is divided in one black and in one white part. Zetsu has two personalities and one of his main abilities is that he can camouflage himself very well making him a very good spy.
